首先，讲讲如何翻译“打针”和“打疫苗”。
打针：Get an injection, get a shot (American English, AE), get a jab (British English, BE)。有妈妈问，injection的中文是注射，而我们通常对孩子说“打针”，很少会说“注射”，对孩子说injection会不会太正式？我们采访了多位英语母语人士，大家均表示对孩子说injection没问题。
打疫苗：Get vaccinated, get immunized, get a vaccination, get a flu shot（打流感疫苗）。

I. 等待打疫苗 Waiting to be Vaccinated
1. 我们先在这坐一会儿，还没轮到我们。
Let’s sit here and wait for our turn.
2. 别乱跑。别到处乱摸。
Please don’t run around and touch this and that.
3. 仔细听一下，是不是叫到咱们的号了。
When there is a broadcast, listen carefully for our number.
4. 呆会儿轮到你的时候，护士阿姨给你打预防针。

II. 打疫苗过程 Getting Vaccinated
1. 宝宝，放松，没事的。你可以坐在妈妈腿上打针。
Baby, relax and don’t worry. You can sit on mummy’s lap for the shot.
2. 看，护士阿姨把棉花棍在酒精里蘸一蘸。
The nurse is dipping the cotton swab / cotton bud / Q-tip into the rubbing alcohol.
【A. 请注意swab的读音为[swɔb]，不是[swæb]。B. 如果护士使用的是碘伏，请将alcohol换成iodine。】
3. 然后，在你胳膊上抹点酒精，消消毒。
She will then rub the rubbing alcohol over your arm to sterilize / disinfect the area.
4. 把注射器里灌上药。
She is filling the syringe with the medication / vaccine.
5. 护士阿姨现在准备好，可以给你打针了。
The nurse is now ready to give you your shot / jab / injection.
6. 乖，你准备好了么？就有点扎。我知道你是个勇敢的孩子，肯定不哭。是么？
Alrightie, are you ready too? It will just sting a little bit. I know you are very brave and will not cry, right?
III. 打疫苗后 After Getting Vaccinated
1. 真快。好了。
Just a wink and we are done.
2. 按着棉花呆五分钟。/ 拿棉花棍使劲按着针眼五分钟。
Hold the cotton wool in place for five minutes. / Press down the cotton swab firmly on the wound for five minutes.
3. 五分钟到了。把棉花（或棉花棍）扔垃圾箱里吧。
Five minutes is up. Please throw the cotton wool / cotton swab into the bin / garbage can.
4. 今天你得多休息多喝水。
Make sure you get a lot of rest and drink lots of fluids.
IV. 口服疫苗 Oral Medication
护士阿姨待会儿喂你一勺（或一滴）药。是甜的，一点都不苦。
The nurse is going to feed you a spoonful / drop of medication. It tastes sweet and is not bitter at all.
V. 如果宝宝哭了，说哪些话安慰他？How to comfort a crying baby?
1. 乖，乖，没什么大不了的。
There, there. That wasn’t that bad.
2. 哦，真棒。妈妈真为你骄傲。
Wow, very good job. Mummy is so proud of you.
3. 妈妈揉揉就不疼了。
Let mummy rub it off and make the pain go away.
